APT month to shine

If you are visiting the Gloucester Motorway Services, look out for displays and photographs from All Pulling Together and during the months to come all the other Partner Organisations. APT's photographs were put up by Jacky and John during the first week in September.

The first of the APT groups to visit the Northbound Services were the Crafty Stitchers Group who meet on a Tuesday evening. Eight ladies from the group took along a wide variety of crafts to work on and then enjoyed the tea and cakes.

Wendy and Jacky spent Saturday 8th September at the Northbound Services with a photographic display of the APT activities and information leaflets to give out to the public. By telling the public about the Services and APT and having collection buckets they managed to collect £41.00.

Monday 17th September saw the children from the APT Garden Gang planting herbs at the Northbound Services. We were helped by Services staff, Mark Gale from Gloucestershire Gateway trust and Clare Skivington the Community Coordinator from the Services. All the APT volunteers, Development Officer and parents had a great time and ended the day with tea and cakes on the terrace.

Monday 24th September the P3 Guitar group visited the Northbound Services and played a medley of songs for the public. Many of the group had not played for the public before so it took a lot of courage. Well done to the players who now maybe will be back at Christmas to play carols.

Tuesday 25th September saw the Crafty Stitchers group back but this time at the south bound Services. All sorts of crafts undertaken from crochet to patchwork.

And for the APT finale, Wendy, Scarlet(Wendys' daughter) and Jacky spent the day at the Southbound Services with display boards, information leaflets and a new pop up banner explaining the connection between the Partner Organisations and the Services.

A brilliant Month to Shine.
